Strength Through Faith

The above title and Scripture on the left is my devotion for this week. I was asked to remember a time when God strengthened my faith, and it wasn't long before I remembered the process it took to get my green card to live and work in the United States.

A year and half later I crossed the border, but that time was a long and frustrating one, and being away from my husband. He was allowed to visit me, but during this time I wasn't allowed to cross over to visit him. Sometimes we just didn't have the funds for a visit and a month would lapse before we laid eyes on each other (and we're not 'talk on the phone long' people).

When the paperwork came back with red marks all over it where I had to either get more information or change something, I literally hit the floor, face down and cried out to God. I didn't know how I was going to survive more time living away from my husband that I missed so much.

Not an ounce of that time was wasted. I was blessed immensely, and I was also a blessing.
