How do we know which direction is the best way to go? Do we even have a choice of where we're going? Sometimes, it's difficult to even know which way is up. Is it hill and valley time? Maybe it's a straight up gnarly climb, scrambling for hand and foot holds along the way? Does your direction look more like slipping, sliding, tripping, possibly falling flat on your face? How about the lovely spiral, twirling around and around and around we go, just getting dizzy and feeling totally out of control.

Hold fast, my friend, there is a better way. He will light your pathway. All we need to do is to place one foot in front of the other. There is nothing that you will face that will be a surprise to him. There is nothing he is not prepared to take you through and bring you out the other side of.

When you're too tired, he will give you rest, and strengthen you to carry on. When you're too hurt, and feeling a little hopeless, his light will guide and brighten your way, but if you just can't take one more step, he will carry you until you can.

When I let God be my direction finder, I know I'm on the safest and best path forward, and even when life throws curve balls at me, I don't have to dodge them, but know that He will help me absorb them and move on.

The lyrics to this song, gives us great direction -- Way Maker. ...light in the darkness...

Psalms 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Luke 1:79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
